About Me
Hey, I am Nisi
Botanical Artist & Writer
I am a botanical artist, photographer and nature writer (creative non-fiction) with a background in tertiary education.
My ethos is deeply connected to, influenced and inspired by the natural world, with an emphasis on environmental and conservation issues. This is reflected through my photography, writing and illustrations. With a playful approach I draw on each practice, weaving in the five pathways to nature connection (contact, beauty, meaning, emotion and compassion) to ignite a sense of awe, whilst highlighting the profound connection that exists between creativity, nature and wellbeing.
I am committed to promoting sustainable development – care for ourselves, care for our communities and care for the natural world.
Where possible, materials used are sustainably, ethically and locally sourced near where I live and work in the Lothians, Scotland.
